Hi there, brand new to publishing in the forum. I’m looking for an equipment rack that will pair up with either an over-cab mounted cage or load bar in order to haul my canoe or kayak. I’m familiar with Putco, Cali-raised and the other big names, but wondering if anyone knows of any custom fabricators in the Middle States (I live in Oklahoma) that build racks. Thoughts? Reviews or your mass-produced rack?

Thanks so much for any help!

I personally have a custom rack. I didn't want my roof top tent to be over the bed, and didn't want to put in on the cab. I had had a shop do the bending and I have it bolted into the bed at four points but the area for the roof top tent expands over the the cab. I have 80 percent of the area over the cab, and only a small part in the bed. Provides enough shade for the dog. Plus it's a bit overbuilt, so I don't worry about about things beating it up. Might not be a bad idea to have a welding shop build you one for your needs.
