With my rack off roading I was worried about the bedsides flexing from the weight. These are Rago Fab’s bed side stiffeners and the install is pretty straight forward. On the left side behind the tail light is the shock dampener for the tailgate which makes access to the bolt a touch difficult but not impossible. I trimmed my right brace to clear my PullKitchen IMG_0174.jpg IMG_0175.jpg IMG_0179.jpg IMG_0180.jpg

Yeah I will as we passed right through Great Falls taking 200 back to North Idaho. Is there good off road destinations off 200 up in the mountains?

Morell Mountain lookout isn't too far off 200. I hear it's a good view at the top and not very technical.

Bought an aluminum RCI Metal Works skid plate here off the classified sections from @Mike's Custom Toys and got it installed today. With 37’s I don’t hit too much so the aluminum will work fine for extra protection when I go to Death Valley in November. It’s pretty light at around 25lbs, I always like photos when checking out gear so I’ve included a bunch.

For me trips like this are why I’ve built my truck like I have. My wife and I hit the Idaho Panhandle National Forest and popped out 3 days later in Montana. So many amazing sights and great food!

Just dropping a comment so I get notifications of these camping trips lol. Won’t be wheeling my tundra as it’s too big for what I want to do but it’ll be a camper for sure. When I had my gladiator I went to Montana to get my gfc from NJ and that whole section of the US is beautiful! Went through Idaho to spend a couple days wheeling in MOAB, all gorgeous unlike anything I’ve seen on the East coast.

That there is very cool!!:) Great pictures!!

Hopefully in the next 6 to 8 weeks we are headed North. Taking a left until we hit mountains go site seeing then come back the West side of the mountains and anything higher than sea level until we have to take a left and get back to Texas.

All caught up. Ended up being one very very nice setup, the amount of work and fab is awesome.

A hint for your French toast. Use French bread and let it dry out a bit before cooking. It won’t be a soggy limp piece of bread.

I do not know how I dropped off a bit,, enjoyed the process and you took some amazing pictures. Thanks for posting everything and for that you get a
    GOOD ON YA!!! Very nice!!:)

Thanks for the likes, I think something like 66 in all! My wife loves sourdough so the French toast was a little different from the start. And yes I do like to have a little French toast with my syrup!

I finally found some rock sliders off FB and I love them. I got such a good price I am thankful! Westcott Designs, TIG, 0 degree, powder coated with top plates and I didn’t want kick outs. But wow my body is sore after installing these, THEY ARE BEEFY! Got these on just in time as I’m leading a group to Death Valley early November and needed protection, plus heading out on a trip tomorrow to the Sawtooths in ID/MT and to Canada near Banff in October.

I used my floor Jack and an old piece of plywood, not pretty but made it easy to lift and place them exactly where they needed to be

Nice set up on the airlines! I’ll be scrounging material with zippers now for the chuck covers. Wondering what you used for y-fittings at the rear tire junctions? Is that 1/4” air line?

It is 1/4” as the limiting factor of inflation/deflation is not the hose but the valve stem on the tires. They only let so much air through at a time. My business partner and I did a number of tests a while back and found the larger hose only make about a 3% difference in time. I used press to fit, they work great, swivel, easy trail repair, and cheap!

Very cool push fittings have been working for you, Ive been wondering about them for air. I have lots of experience with them for R/O water lines and they have been great for that. For this application, I like how the Y lays flat, more than a T fitting does. And I absolutely agree about the schrader valve being a limiting factor, seems like that often gets overlooked when talking about CFM’s, etc. Thanks for the link!

Yeah they lie flat nicely, with the sleeves it protects them from rocks when you toss out the lines, and they coil up very easily compared to systems with T joints used instead of Y’s. Have fun!
