So, it's become pretty apparent that @Roman and Toyota of Cool Springs are basically defunct at this point. Do we have another vendor on here that sells OEM, or is everyone just buying form Sparks now?

Yah, what happened with them? I noticed his page wouldn't load about a month ago.

Sales were enough to draw attention about sales tax, and they were trying to get it worked out. Then it went to FB links (hot garbage) and then it all went quiet. Somebody somewhere on here said that they called Cool Springs and they said they no longer ship parts. My guess is gooberment overlords stepped on their toes and they don't want the hassle anymore.

We’re lucky in the Phoenix area and have a local guy at a dealership that gives pretty good deals on carry out parts. I haven’t seen anything on here or online to replace Roman though.

@Roman was a total big help for me, each time I would order I would ask him if it’s the correct parts and when he replies back I just click on checkout.

Same. I bought my grille, hood bulge, shifter, and some emblems from him. I would love it if they could get it back online and have a presence on here again, but I think that ship has sailed.

That really sucks...Roman was an amazing resource.

Whatever you do, don't order from South Austin Autonation Toyota. They come up in the Google searches. They have an online store, but their service is unbelievably horrible.

I've heard some less than stellar stories about Sparks customer service as well. IDK about everyone else, but if a company gets shitty with me, then I go elsewhere. It'd have to be a smokin' deal or something I HAD to have for me to break that.

That's partially speculation on my part. The deafening silence from @Roman is what makes me think it's over for Cool Springs, though.

I tired to PM him also for part # and he normally replies back quick. I haven’t gotten nothing at all. I have that feeling also. Would still be cool if he still chats with us. He sure was a guru for parts # in my book.

Anyway, back to the point of the thread; do we have another OEM vendor on here?

Would be sweet to have another Roman on here.

Mcgeorge has been solid with the best discount prices I've seen. Sparks always had higher shipping costs when I was shopping, never did pull the trigger with them.

You can still be a member. It's $60 a year. Even though the local warehouse is 5 miles away, we still buy a lot of things from them online as what they offer online is different than in the warehouse. And they usually offer free shipping. Great gift baskets to ship to relatives for birthdays and Holidays as well. IMO worth it if you ever in the market for a new TV. Nobody beats their extended warranty deals. Bought a big Samsung and ended up with a full 7-year warranty for $99.

Full disclosure...I am a Costco Shareholder.

been using McGeorge soon after Cool went tits up. Sometimes them cigar smokin executives make asinine decisions. McGeorge Toyota has given good customer support when I have had questions.

I never use to buy an extended warranty, but over the last few years I have on some things and they have been worth it. Kids bike was something like 3 years for $49. Yeah no brainer there as a kid will trash a bike inside of 1 year..easily a couple hundred dollars of repairs. And a plastic airsoft gun...gun was $80, warranty was $10. Kid trashes it inside a year and nets a $70 refund. Bought a used fishing reel on EBay. They offer a $3 warranty. Reel craps out after 6 months...boom...full refund. And a Samsung TV. $1500 new. Warranty $99. 3.5 years into ownership it stops working. Parts not available...haul it to the Warehouse and here is a check for $1500...bought a new bigger better TV for $1000 and pocketed the $500. Yeah for some things based upon item, use and warranty cost, a no brainer. And yes I have bought a few warranties I have not used...$99 for 5 years on our washing machine, a $69 warranty on another TV and currently in year 5 of 7 year warranty on yet another TV. Right now I am thinking of buying the Toyota warranty for my Tundra...8yrs/75k miles for $765. I only drive about 9,000 miles per year so the mileage limit is about right. Price seems pretty fair. Likely to not own it beyond those 8 years.

It’s doubtful another Roman is gonna come along. So maybe we can use this thread to help each other out with good and bad experiences/deals with other parts sources. And clarification on parts and part numbers.
