So, yesterday my onboard SXM music kept periodically dropping out and I'd hear a little 2 note tone and then it would come back on. This morning I timed it and it was happening on exactly 1 minute intervals. I then tried other audio sources to include FM, AM and phone music player and it was doing the same thing. CarPlay nav via Google Maps was functioning fine so I didn't suspect the phone and was thinking, crap, I need to go to the dealer. But I decided to reboot my phone first anyway, and that fixed it. This was apparently some CarPlay or BT interface issue where the phone was stuck in some sort of loop causing the audio to mute or drop offline every minute. Just BOLO and if it happens to you reboot the phone.
