HI everyone i am new to the forum and am having trouble setting up obd fusion app to monitor torque converter and trans pan temp.
I am planning on quite a few trips in the mountains towing a fifth wheel trailer and would like to keep an eye on temps.
I have followed the equations on the forum see below.

I Have a 2018 tundra TRD pro, every time I try this equation and hit test, it say invalid equation.
I believe this is for a second generation tundra and mine is 2.5 generation, don't know if this is the problem.
    any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

I'm by no means literate on this type of subject but when I installed the OBD Fusion on my phone I bought the extended PID for Toyota from the app which then gives a million more readings. It was an extra $10 or so and that immediately had the two trans temps working without having to do anything. I did not have to set up anything. Did you purchase the extra PID or is this something different all together?

Pay for the extra PID. Also, consider upgrading your head unit. I went with pioneer and have set up a custom dashboard with trailer view and trans temp:

I have purchased the extra add on's for the tundra.
I have looked at numerous threads on these custom pids and just can't get it to work.
I did find that there are two transmission temps listed in the additional engine control management section called "a/t oil temp 1" and "a/t oil temp 2".
I am not sure if these are the same as the custom pids and if they are which one is pan and which one is convertor.
I also saw some where in this rabbit hole of information that some one had a gauge that showed gear number and torque converter lock up in one.
I would love to see how that was done.
    thanks
