    I tried to search but could not find the search for the forum.

    I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra 4.6L Base 4 Door.

    I have been having check engine light for the air valve. I was just using my scan tool to delete the code because you have to remove the entire top half of the engine to replace the air valves. The air valves only operate for 45 seconds so I dont want to pay to have it fixed and the DIY is too hard so I just live with it by resetting the check engine code. Sometimes when the check engine code comes on at startup the truck goes into limp mode and sometimes not.

    That worked for a while but now my Innova scan tool wont communicate and my Xtool D7 wont either. I checked the 7.5Amp fuse in the fuse box under the dash with a multimeter and it had continuity.

    I visually inspected the truck obd port and looks fine and both scan tools connector seem to be fine.

    Help I need to fix this communications problem. The computer is obviously working because the truck runs fine if I unhook the positive battery post to reset the computer but that is a pain.

    Any advise on how to troubleshoot this problem.

    Mine was a blown fuse. I think it’s 7.5 amp if I remember correctly

    Many have found the tilt column to catch and damage the wire harness killing CANH P6 / CANL P14.
    P16 = Batt
    P4 = GND
    P5 = GND

    All the others go to various different ECU's.

    There is ohm and voltage test that can be done to verify if this is the problem. The connector is DLC3 and/or J17 for the 2010 4.6
