So I’ve been searching and reading and rereading all the threads I can find on this setup and functions Im trying to ultimately achieve.
My initial setup is pretty straight forward in seams. 17 TRD PRO non led drl. Morimotos are in and work fine. Wiring was straight forward. I did install the new turn signal relay. I have been looking at this NSV light bar sitting in my living room for a week now and debating on whether to just install it as the instructions state or figuring out how to make it work the way I want.
The goal is to get the strobe to work. I’ve seen the re-pinning instructions. I still want to be able to turn the bar’s DRL function on and off when I choose. I feel like I should be able to achieve this with a simple switch install at the NSV switch panel, as there is an empty slot. (am I wrong?)
I would also like to be able to turn the DRL on the morimotos off and on when I choose as well. Not sure how complicated this is.
Apologies if all of these things have been covered. I tried searching and compiling all the info but I still feel lost. I’ve reached out to a forum member but have yet to hear anything.
I’m kind of a knuckle dragged so pictures help tremendously. TIA

    Hey my man!

Great questions! Sounds like your Tundra is putting down some serious light! :) Right on!

As far as the Strobing feature goes on the NSV, that feature was removed due to safety reasons on the road. Too many hooligans out there! I don't want to really provide any info on achieving the Strobe feature, as I don't want to be stepping on any toes with helping achieve a banned feature! Hopefully you understand. :)

For the XB DRLs, you could always add a Switch into the DRL Tap and run it through the Firewall/Grommet into the cab and install it into a blank switch panel! Would take some handy work, but that would be a pretty clean and unique fabrication! Then you can turn it on and off as you please! :)

Sorry for not being able to help out on the Strobing feature. Best of luck on this Lighting Adventure! :) Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! :hattip:

Totally understand about the strobe. I think I got that part covered. I’m just trying to restore what I’m losing by doing it, in the simplest of ways.
Thanks for the info on the XB switch. Sounds easy enough.

Anytime! If you are looking for a neat switch, Check this page out: https://headlightrevolution.com/search.php?search_query=switch&section=product
(You'll want a Latching Switch for this DRL application!)
