Installing NSV light bar with USB charger replacement for 12V outlet and trying to figure out how to wire it. USB harness has red and black wires that Y into two black and two red wires. Question is do I clip the plugs off of the two 12V factory wires and connect the USB wires to both sets of wires that went to both 12v plugs ?

Cut OE connectors off wires and mount one bullet-connector on a red OE wire and the socket-connectors on the other red OE wire...repeat same for OE black wires...use the NSV "Y" and connect like colors to appropriate connections...

did you end up figuring this out? I’m trying to do it on my 2020 and I’m not sure what to do. I assume I connect it to my old lighter wires?
Can you explain what you did. Thanks

im confused about the wiring still then. Did your lighter have two wires going to it or 4? I don’t get how to connect the 4 wires on the new usb to the two in the lighter.

If you have x2 lighter plugs, combine like-colored wires from both and splice them to new USB wires...x2 red and x2 black wire-nutted or soldered to new USB single wires...so in the end, x3 like-colored wires (times two because you have a ground and a power wire) combined into one circuit. Does that make sense?

i think the disconnect is mine being a 2020. I only have one lighter which has two wires going into it. A red and a white with a stripe. The usb has 4 wires (two red and two black) with bullet connectors on them.

my understanding is that you guys had 4 wires going into your Stock lights so you were able to just match like colors and plug in?

so I know nothing about this stuff. This is my stock lighter wires. T taps power the NSV lightbar switch panel.

Hi did you ever get it done? I just got mine and I have the same question as you - how do you connect the four wires from the sub port to the two oem wires?

No I didn’t but let me know if you do. I just put the regular cigarette lighter in there and then cut out the middle logo for the fast charging for USB and I use A second charger from inside the console

I got it! You cut the original plug on the passenger side lighter. Strip the wires a little bit. Use either the bullet or the other connector and attach one to each of the lighter wires. Then plug just one black and one red wire from the 4 on the usb harness. I found another video Headlight Revolution did and that’s what they said. I did it and both of the USB ports are charging.

Have a different issue now - the swipe works, the drl works, the panel buttons light up, dual usb works.... but the full bar does not work. And neither does my driver side turn signal.

Glad you got that part to work.

for the full LED bar I have to turn the lights all the way on (rotate that little knob (that has the lighting options on it) on the left side of the steering wheel all the way back) then push that whole arm back (towards the dash) then my full bar will come on.

I never had an issue with the turn signal. Did you cut that blue wire? Or maybe make sure the plug is seated all the way? Good luck
