I've been testing the delay between mashing the gas pedal and when the truck actually takes off and it seems that the initial delay isn't coming from Turbo Lag. I mean a V6 without Turbo would still be able to move the truck forward while the Turbo is spooling up. The Lag the Gen3 tundra's have seems to be related to the vehicles computer holding off giving the engine gas. It's like it takes it too long to think to respond to the gas pedal.

It's not really an issue when taking off normally (smoothly and slowly) but when you wan't to jump into traffic the 1 sec delay makes a big difference.

Yea, that pretty much covers it. There is a 750ms lag between when you press the pedal and when the throttle actually changes. I hope they can fix this with a software update.

I remember going from a 2002 Chevy Camaro Z28 with a throttle cable to a 2005 f-150 with drive by wire…it was very odd and hard to get used to…interesting that it still bothers people
