    Not the best fuel economy. I was hoping for better than 14.68mpg after 18 months.

    Too many, but not enough....
    Most people on this forum will tell you that that is pretty decent mileage and they would be happy to get that. For myself, I average about 15mpg with mostly highway. I am happy with it since i have E load tires and alot of extra weight on the truck.

    I'll trade you that 14.68mpg for my 8-9mpg :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Hope is a terrible strategy. 14.68 is pretty average experience. I get about 15.8mpg in mine.

    Yep you're getting normal. There's a million threads on here about driving tactics to squeeze out another .5mpg on average.

    What were your hopes?

    I’d just say there is MPG data available for 14 years of the same truck to view for free on fuelly, so hopefully it’s not too big of a shock that your getting just a smidge above the most common average among owners of 14mpg.

    Of those reporting on Fuelly, the 5.7l Tundras average about 14 mpg. Tundras are poor around town primarily because they are heavy and suck up a lot of fuel when idling. And at 80 mph "aero as a brick" comes into play. It's also ~2007 engine tech, so you can't expect too much.

    My big fat Hankook ATs have less rolling resistance than the Bridgestones that came on it. So a tire upgrade, particularly some quality street tires might help.

    Its not a commuter for sure. But that was NOT why I bought it. Luv my 21! You can keep anything turbo and this is coming from a Grand National guy, my Hoover vacuum on steriods!!! My 70 SS 396 Chevelle only gets around 6-8 mpg!

    Funny you say this because I actually think it gets awesome gas mileage when comparing to the V10 Excursion I used to use for family road trips. 17 highway only with the tundra versus 11 or 12 at best with the excursion.

    Running Non ethanol 87 octane I get 15 to 16, running 10% ethanol,(when I can't find non-ethanol), I get 13 to 14

    Theoretically, 10% ethanol might be a 3% MPG hit. Don't know why it would be that high, unless there are other factors involved.

    Not complaining :dancingbacon:about fuel economy but was hoping since I drive like an old man (which I am) I would get a mile or two more per gallon especially on the freeway.. I am sure glad my wife with the lead foot doesn't drive her.

    That was my theory, I went through several tanks of full in the last 8 months to test my theory, same driving style, same distance, weather doesn't seem to be much of a factor either, city driving, highway driving, mixture of both. I like to see tangible data so I can rule out my "feelings"

    About right I’d say, when gas went to 4.00, I put some Michelin street tires on ( as opposed to the general grabber mts on it), and mileage went up and it rode a little better on the street, but not what I need the truck fo so…. Less than 4 a gallon MTs are it lol

    Driving back from Tennessee last year she took full advantage of her husband taking a nap. Country music on...check (I'm not a fan). Open roads, cruise set above what I can say on the site..check check. 36 gallon tank...check check check. Arriving 3 minutes early...priceless.

    15.7 mpg here. Sr5 2wd. I idle a couple hours a day for work so that brings down my average. I get 19 to 21mpg on long trips. Screenshot_20230308_210217_Chrome.jpg
