Not sure it's a problem but just curious

Hello everyone. Just joined the community. I own a 2021 tundra crewmax. Couple days agon it got my attention that little select button in the middle of 4 arrows on the right side of steering wheel not illuminated.everything else on the steering wheel illuminated. I just couldnt remember it was illuminated before or not. If it supposed to be illuminated what could be the problem? Thank you

My center button isn't lit on my 2014, but the arrows are.
After a while of driving the truck, you won't even look at those buttons when you use them.
Muscle memory kicks in and you'll use them by touch.

 

Toyota used that dot to distract from the mirror controls not being illuminated.

 

How often to you adjust your mirrors at night?

Not really looking at them while driving either. Just got my attention going to work while I was at the Red light.

I never realized the middle button didn't light up until I just looked when I read your question..

 

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I've never noticed on mine. I don't even look at them anymore.

 

Lol I know me too thats why I wasnt sure was it lighted or not at the beginning. out of no where sitting at the red light looking around got me confused.

 

Wow, I never even noticed that any of the buttons were lit. Just not used to looking at the HOTAS. Now I have to go check our other vehicles to see if they're backlit too.

Just went out and checked, and yes it does. Checked our other vehicles and all the steering wheel controls are backlit. Gonna drive me nuts. Now that I've seen it I can't unsee it.

 

Lol I know thats why its driving me nuts. Now I really wonder why only that button is not lighting up?
