Where do you live? What was the temperature when you installed them?

Pull it off, clean it off, clean out the adhesive and apply 3M double sided automotive adhesive on the inside. It's the same stuff holding your OEM badges on. It works, and works well if the surface is clean and warm. Getting it to re-adhere is probably moot at this point, I'd abandon that idea and start fresh.

I don't think that's considered an overlay. I believe the OP got the black badges that go over the chrome ones (iForce, 4x4, etc).
Glad your tailgate inlays are holding up

3M Double sided tape is the way to go. Don’t plan on getting it off once properly applied...

Where can you buy 3m double sided tape that's that narrow? And if half of it is sticking the the chrome how do I get it off? With heat?
I didn't get it from Toyota
It was about 70 degrees out .
I don't want to de adage it either.
The tailgate emblems are solid on.If I don't reply soon that's because my email is down, it say can't connect to the server, what that ,eans? I don't know.

Heat helps remove it. I use monofilament fishing line to get behind it, then work it back and forth. Goo Gone to clean things up.
I always buy the regular 3M tape and cut it to size with an Exacto Knife, but I'm sure you can get it in small strips.
It might work better to apply the tape to the truck emblem, cut it size, warm it up, press overlay on. 70 degrees in direct sunlight would make it warm enough.
