I have a 2005 toyota tundra limited double cab 4x4 tundra without TRD package. I need new struts and shocks for the front. I put 4600 on the rear myself and was about to purchace 4600's for the front to have a professional installation to compress my current coil. Well I have called about 5 shops and they all tell me if my current coil doesn't fit the Bilstein 4600 It was going to cost me. Some have said that the bilstein is 1 inch longer shock and with a used coil it might not fit the shock properly. Some want me to purchase new coils to incase it doesn't' fit. Does anyone have any knowledge and advice on this?

If it's a stock coil, then it'll fit.

They're just covering their bases, in case you have a 'lift' coil like ome, eibach, dobinsons, etc.

Sounds like they’re confusing them for the 5100s. The 4600s are designed to be used with stock springs

The TRD trucks came with different springs. However the stock springs you have should fit on the 4600's as well. Unless you have Monroes or some junky aftermarket part currently.
