I'm looking at getting new tires on my truck. I love the look of the AT Tires but I really dont need them. I'm thinking of going with a 275/65/20 road tire like the defender. Do you guys have pics of the bigger road tires on your trucks. TY

these are the defenders in 275/60/r20 which gives you 6.5" of sidewall and gives you a 33" tire as compared to the OEM which gave you 6" sidewall even though they where supposed to be 32.5" tires when in fact they were 32". Michelin didn't offer the defender Ms2 275/65/20 at the time. When these wear out will probably move to the 275/65/20 which would be a 34" tire with 7" of sidewall. I will admit that the AT tires look better but I really don't need them and I like the ride of the Michelin's which I have had very good luck with.20240708_111226.jpg

If you want an a/t looking tire but don’t need it. Consider Bridgestone dueler a/t ascent. They are marketed for luxury a/t’s. Basically meant for the road that are somewhat capable for off roading. Light, quiet, comfortable. That being said reviews are hard to find.

lots of great reviews for outpost nats too. Light for an a/t.

I got rid of the stock Falken's on my '24 Platinum TRD OR and installed Michelin Defender MS2 in 275/60/20. Speedo is now spot on accurate as opposed to reading slightly high with stock tires. Ride and handling significantly improved, plus they are very quiet. No impact on mileage. I do mild off-roading occasionally and these will do just fine - mostly fire roads, etc. Highly recommend this setup.

I put Nokian OutPost nAT 275/60/20. One step up from stock. They are an AT tire but have S load rating so basically a car tire in AT form. Smooth riding, quiet on the highway. My Tundra at 80 mph has less road noise than my wife’s Lexus RX 350. And the Nokians look good , made it look like a truck

Thank you for the replies. I was really trying to decide between the Toyo AT3 and the Defenders. I love the look of the AT3 but I like the 70,000 warranty and the gas milage of the defender. It looks like I may go with the defender.

I had the Continental Terrain Contact H/T on my 2019 with 35k miles on them when I traded it with easily another 10-15k left in tread. I went with them because of the great experience I had with another set of Contis on my car, plus they were $20 cheaper a tire than the Michelins.

I put the Michelins defenders on my last Tundra before I traded that, both were a great ride, quiet , smooth, handled well and lasted, so I would have no qualms putting either on now. Just an option for you.
