Twice now I’ve been going around the same turn with a little speed and the truck made a grinding/rubbing noise of some kind and the traction light flashed. I’m on a 3/1 leveling kit running 35s. Could it just be the tires rubbing? They do at the right turn in reverse. Or is it possibly something else suspension-wise?

    Tires.
Check your skid plate, mud flaps (if you have them) you may need a cab mount chop too.

Ok that’s what I figured. The bumpers appear to have been trimmed when I got the truck. Not sure about the CMC. How can I tell?

Did you buy the truck new and have the work done after you purchased?

Is it a grinding like a rub noise, or does your trac light come on and sounds a bit odd at certain angles?

Dirty pic, but here is one of my cab mount chop. You can locate this next to the fender well towards the bumper. Take a photo of the area and we’ll let you know if it’s been done.

Disable your traction control and test on same turn.

My tire rubs the well sometimes backing out, but I know that sound. It could be that but happening at 40mph sounds different. It is a little more of a guiding sound than I would expect for that though. I'll go look for the CMC.

I take that same turn every day I go anywhere, and it has only happened twice though.

Hard for me to tell where that part is, but here’s three shots to try. Sorry, I’ve just never messed with my vehicles any.

The pic Sean posted is the Cab Mount. It's where the back of the front wheel hits the cab area, where your mudflaps used to be. But if your dash lit up, it's most likely your traction control kicking in. Might start with a zero point calibration.

Got ya. I was looking on the front side of the front wheel, since he has said towards the bumper. I'll look again later.

I've had traction control kick in on take off before, and it wasn't quite like this. But may be different at 40+mph

Also, I still have mud flaps, so does that mean I definitely don't have the CMC?

You have 35's with a 3" lift and you still have your mud flaps on? How? o_O

I don't know. It only rubs when I'm backing up and turn just right. I have spacers too if that makes much difference.

No, the spacers actually make it worse in terms of the cab mount. Interesting

The specs online say those tires are technically only 34.8". It also says they're for wheels 9.5-10.5" wide, but I'm on stock TRD wheels. Weird
