i have a 2000 toyota tundra sr5 v8 4.7L . I have replaced the tps mass air flow and the tps with the lever. Still not getting normal throttle response. I can press the throttle to the floor and get nothing till the last inch or so of throttle which only opens the throttle body flap about a quarter of the way. With all this going on and the parts i have replaced i am also getting a P0120 code. Can someone help or point me in the right direction!!!

Is it possible your throttle cable is out of adjustment?

Google says that code is related to your throttle position sensor. Are you saying you already replaced that as well?

Did you unhook the negative terminal for 30 minutes to reset the code?

I have no clue if the cable is out of adjustment. How do you adjust the cable? Yes i have replaced the tps. I disconnected the positive battery cable thinking it was the positive cable but i will try to pull the negative battery cable and try it!

Post a pick of the throttle body area.

You said you replaced the TPS and the MAF sensor. Was that in an effort to correct this throttle response issue?

Do you have an OBD code reader?

Get under there and turn the TB spring by hand and see if it opens. Watch your cable at the same time. I've heard of them stretching, but that seems excessive.

I’m having something similar going on with my truck. I took my truck to the dealer ship cause I have a lot of codes on my dash. Turns out it my air flow sensor. I replaced it with a new one and I have everything still on. It’s been twice where I’m driving on the highway and I get no throttle response. I floor it and my rpm won’t even move until I make a complete stop my truck goes back to normal. It’s twice it has done that to me since I replaced the airflow sensor. My truck is a 2007 5.7 with K&N instake. They did however told me to remove my intake and put a stock one back on.

Texas Bandit - I won't swear to it, but you symptoms sound familiar to what I was experiencing with my 2001 SR5, 4.7 liter. The culprit appears to have been a faulty/intermittent voltage issue with the electronic fuel pump inside the tank. See my post labeled, "Tundra won't start due to bad oil pressure gauge?" The post addresses a few issues but it also covers the hesitation and bogging down issue I had.
