    007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8 – No Crank, No Radio/Windows

    Issue:

    • Truck won’t crank — just a single click when turning the key.

    • Radio and power windows are dead.

    • Door locks and lights still work.

    • Battery is good and jump-starting doesn't help.

    • Problem started after a 4-hour drive. It started once or twice after, but now nothing.
    What I’ve Tried:

    • Verified battery and terminals.

    • Jump-started — no change.

    • Swapped starter relay.

    • Checked all fuses.

    • Tapped the starter.

    • Haven’t tried starting in neutral yet.

    • Haven’t tested ground strap yet.

    • Click seems to come from the starter area.
    Thinking:

    • Likely starter motor failure.

    • Possibly a bad ground or ignition power issue, since radio/windows also quit.
Any advice before I pull the starter?

If it were me, I'd first suspect the ignition switch or associated connectors. Door locks and lights are not dependent on the switch. Radio and windows are. Turn switch on and start checking for 12 volts at certain fuses requiring power from the switch. Check for 12 volts also in start position at starter solenoid or similar. Such checks should be easier than first pulling the starter.

Radio and power windows dead indicates an issue other than the starter.

you can test the starter function with a bump switch to confirm

How were the battery terminals and wires "verified"?

Jump the relay, only way to know if its the starter.
Edit: I lost 10lbs jumping to conclusions... didn't read the whole thing. Sounds like something grounded itself out.. Power relay, them hard to get out ones probably, what else don't you have....

Thanks for all the help, I installed a new starter today and it started right up and I found a missing fuse causing the radio windows and ac not to work.
