Hey so I bought a 2013 tundra with 36,000 miles on it about 5 months ago. Everything has been good untill now when I hit the gas it seems to not have power in 2nd gear. Any thought?

Just tossing this out there...is anything else acting strange like the transmission? Anything you might have done leading up to this, like maintenance that u forgot to plug something back in? Might be a long shot, but I know Tundras have an electronically controlled throttle pedal, which has a fuse under the hood (at least 1st gens do) which can cause lack of throttle. Might check that fuse.
Have u checked trans fluid levels? Oil level? Have u gotten gas lately? Any CELs come on? Hope these ideas help

Why don't you leave it in 2nd gear and see how that works. Not in D.

This kinda sounds like a problem I had within the 1st year of ownership. Using the shifter it use to bog down, like it hit the speed limiter in a late 80's car, at about 3k rpm it would force you to shift since it appeared it lost power... I took it in and complained about it and I'm assuming it was a re-flash of the ECU, or other electronics, because after that it never did it again. I don't remember exactly what they did, because it was 12 years ago, but I do remember it was a 4+ hour wait as usual with stealership services....
