So I’m heading home from Seattle and I stopped to gas up at a Shell. I saw they had no ethanol fuel and decided to give it a try. It was cheaper than the 87 octane with ethanol .
    Explosions ?
    Total engine failure?
    Wining ?

I drive 30 miles to buy non-ethanol fuel for my small engines. Ireally do hope it is ethanol free. It is absurd what Stihl charges for ethanol free fuel.

Here is a pretty good list of where to find ethanol free fuel.

Corn free fuel (non-ethanol) is only available in Premium grade by me. I use it in all my 4-cycle engines that have a carburetor. I have small engines which sit for more than six months between uses and have had no problem starting and running them.

Regarding my 2-stroke engines, the manual for my Stihl chainsaw says to not use non-ethanol fuel because whatever is used instead of ethanol could be harmful to the engine, so I use mid-grade with 10 percent ethanol and synthetic 2-cycle oil with no ill effects. My 2-cycle engines also sit for half the year and still start easily. Stihl synthetic 2-stroke oil contains fuel preservative.

I separate 10 gallons a month for my lawnmower, chainsaw, power washer and leaf blower.

I wish they had it near me.

$.40 more here. Just threw 35 gallons in boat. I use it in boat and lawn equipment whether it is 2 or 4 cycle. Boat is designed for ethanol but with a 95 gallon tank it can sit a while

I have 87 CORN FREE (YEA!!!) 2.5 miles from the house on the pump at a BP station. I pay $0.30 more per gallon than 87 with corn, or $2.479. I'm in central Bamaland.
