I checked my security cameras, they were working when parked last Saturday evening, this morning though I have no dome or map lights. Haven't checked fuses yet, mostly just reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced this yet? Luckily I will be at the dealer Friday for my mirror replacement if I can’t figure it out before then.

Update, still no dome lights, everything else seems to be working, just the 2 front and 2 back lights, no matter what, will not come on. I’ve tried:
    -Unplugging battery for 30 minutes
-checked every fuse in both boxes under the hood (is there an interior one? If so, where?)

Still nothing this morning, and if there is an interior fusebox inside the cab, it's kind of ridiculous that I can't find, or find out, where it is. I just made an appointment for Friday to have this looked at.

PG 493 in the owners manual has the cabin fuse locations. There is one under the glove box area and one underneath the rear seat storage, both on the passenger side.

There is a 10 amp under the dash that runs the interior dome lights!

Did you accidentally hit the rocker switch on the dash, if it has one? Guilty of that myself.

On the 2022, for the interior lights, is up on the upper storage console area near the rear view mirror, so likely not something that's easy to hit accidentally but still a good thing to check.

Thanks everyone, I feel like an idiot because I combed thru the book, apparently not well enough. @FWC, thanks, I had tried the rocker switch, was hoping that was it initially.
@roboots21 & @Moe2o4 thanks for making me look harder in the book! Now I have somewhere to look, I will probably do so at lunch because not knowing is driving me crazy. Is there a fused chart somewhere in the book I'm missing too or I'll just have to locate it looking at the inside of the fuse box cover?

I tried to find a chart (granted I didn't look hard) but I did not find one.

thanks @Moe2o4, you led me to the right place for the locations earlier, I was speaking more to the locations/designations of the fuses once I got there (the diagrams like the old Manuals use to have). However that attachment will definitely help others down the line I'm sure!

No problem, there should be names of the fuses on the cover. Typically there are. I don't know why there isn't any designations in the owners manual.....

I just replied to another fuse box question so copying this here as it should help you out.

I’ve accessed it. It is above the passenger footwell. You have to drop a plastic liner to get access to it. You’ll need to press these (photo below) clips in to drop the liner under the glovebox. If you have a Premium or 1794 there’ll be a light attached to the liner that lights up your feet, and you slide the light assembly off. The rest of us peasants (with feet lying in shadow) don’t have that to worry about. The liner front comes down then pull towards the rear of the truck to get it out. Reverse that to get it back in, just make sure you line up the rear tabs back into its square receptacles before pressing up to clip the front.

To see the fuse box you basically have to lay down on the passenger footwell facing up. Bring a light with you, to get the cover off you’ll need to depress the clip which is on end towards the rear of the truck. The cover has the fuse locations mapped out. If you need a fuse puller there’s one in the engine bay fuse and relay box on the passenger side under the hood. It’s white and in the corner of the fuse and relay box.

Nice, thanks for the details! I'm probably going to look at this and lunch, and plan to snap a photo of the inside of the fuse box, and this evening when I get home maybe the rest of the insides of the fuse box lids since it seems to be relevant and missing info from the owners manual.

Well it appears “DOME CUT” 10Amp Fuse is the culprit. It didn’t have a spare to pop back in to see if it’s just going to blow it immediately. Will report back this evening.

Welp, replacing 'DOME CUT' fuse got it back up and running again, worked fine for a few minute test yesterday evening, was working this AM when I LEFT for work... but when I got to work 30 minutes later, it was blown again. I did use the map light once about 5 minutes into the commute. This evening I guess I will replace the fuse, and push the same map light again, maybe it's shorting out on the press.

It’s dealer time! This is where I would be like “fix it”

    Sorry to hear about that.

For sure, the above mentioned 'testing' will be the extent of where I will go. I'm just not sure how this type of 'Fix' works at a dealer, it could take them days to chase down this short, I'll have to reach out to one and go over my options.

They will just put a multi-meter on the light circuits until the find where it is grounding. If they have a good wire chaser tech it should be too bad. My guess is something didn't get plugged in all the way on a harness and is shorting out.

That's good news. My worry is, it was fine for a month, and now is intermittent apparently... ie the WORST kind of electronic gremlin to chase. I reached out to the dealership, I'll see what they say.

I hate chasing electrical issues on the old trucks I work on. I can't imagine how fun it is in a new truck with 1 linear mile of wire routed everywhere

fuse changed again at lunch yesterday.
Drove all the way home (30 miles) with the dome light on to see if I could tell when it cuts out. Worked the map light switches, worked the rocker switch, all several time to force it, nothing, lights stayed on all the way home.
they were still working when I started the truck up this morning, I left them on, and it blew on my first left turn about 2 minutes into the drive.

Are the security cameras self-installed? Possibly unknowingly tucked some wire up and have it touching or shorting when you hit the right bounce while driving? IDK just a thought. If the cameras are self-installed, maybe take a quickie look at your install job? I've had plenty of those uh-oh moments

Thanks, I have not (yet) done anything to my truck; other than adding on the OEM bed cover, Everything is stock.
The dealer said to bring it in, but I'm waiting to see when I have a chance to. I will probably pop another one in, and make that same turn a few times to see if I can reproduce, just to hopefully give them a starting point. I honestly don't see how they would find a short that's intermittent.

Could the fuse be weaker? Maybe try a higher fuse? Another random thought

Gotta be a chafed harness or a bad ground somewhere that's popping the fuse. I'm pretty sure the dome lights are LEDs, are they not? If so, a 10amp fuse should be more than enough to run them. Whatever you do, I would NOT put a bigger fuse or jump the fuse splines to keep it from popping again. Fuses are there for safety...to pretty much stop an electrical fire from starting. I know some people would, but I would not recommend it.

Regarding chasing down the short: the dealer will have the wiring diagram from Toyota, they should be able to track it down. I won't lie though...it might suck for whoever is doing it...but they'll eventually track it down. It could be easy to see like a chafed wire in an easy to find spot...or they might have to remove interior pieces and inspect the entire length of the wiring harness for that fuse.

Tracking down electrical issues is literally the least amount of fun I ever have when working on cars.

Thanks, yea if the truck wasn't under warranty still, I'd consider a little higher amp fuse, it will get taken in and fixed right this go around, I'm 4 fuses deep and it blows at random times. This last one had to have blown while it was just parked (or immediately when it attempted to come on first thing this morning more than likely) thanks for yalls help! I reached out on here in case someone else was facing this issue, but it seems this one is all mine.
