Hello guys back at it again with possibly another electrical issue with my good old friend mouse.

My 2008 5.7 decided not to start last night. I get no crank but I do get one click with no start.

Battery voltage checks out before and during start. All fuses check out except for a 10 amp IGN fuse under the hood. Tried replacing it after not receiving power with test light. Did not test yet with multimeter for continuity. Is those fuse supposed to receive power only during start up phase?

Truck has almost 180,000 Miles. I believe it is the original starter on there.

Any ideas or recommendations? Much appreciated.

A simple test is to pull the starter relay in the fuse box and jumper the terminal that comes from the battery to the terminal going to the starter. You can find a detailed set of wiring schematics on this forum so you can identify the correct terminals. That will eliminate a lot of the wiring. The power comes into the fuse box, goes through a fuse, then to the relay, and finally to the starter solenoid.

If you're handy with a multimeter you can do a few checks after pulling the relay. One terminal should have 12 volts on it all the time. Another should be grounded. The third terminal will show a small mount of resistance (that's the starter solenoid), and the final will have power on it when you turn the key to the start position.

Mice love to make nests in the lower part of the fuse box. Some of the wires are pretty small and their teeth chew through them pretty easily. But with 180k on your Tundra I wouldn't dismiss the idea that the starter or solenoid died.
