    Haven’t seen a specific/dedicated thread so I figured I’d start one.

I’ve had mine a week so far. About 120 miles on them. 285/70r18 on stock TRD OR wheels. Been dry as the Gobi for the whole week until tonight. Put the truck on the highway at about 67-72mph and then we got about 10 minutes of a frog strangler while on the highway.

Truck did great on the highway and tracked like a dang sled in the 1-2” of standing water on the interstate. I slowed down to 45-50 during the deluge and it just held. Pretty happy with the performance and looking forward to some snow performance reports.

These fared better than my 275/70r18 KO2’s and 295/70r18 Baja boss AT (on my 2014 DC). The bajas felt pretty “floaty” vs these recon grapplers but I feel like width could have played a part

feel free to share your experiences good or bad.

Do you have pics? I am considering the same tires in this size on my 2020.

    Alot of them
Just an FYI....the Ridge Grapplers have a higher wet traction rating than the Recon Grapplers. If you want the best wet traction for a large tire, the Toyo AT3 is the highest rated.

How do they feel on wet road stop & go? I saw a review somewhere guy saying he thought it spun too easily taking off from stop on wet roads compared to his old tires.

Thanks man I really like the stance, performance, and appearance.

I lifted the front end only. Falcon coil overs use the stock spring, and it has 3 settings: low, med, high which corresponds to 0” lift, 1” lift, and 2-2.25” lift respectively. I set mine on the medium which is at 1”.

I’ve never run bilstein 5100’s or 6112’s up front so I can’t compare to those but I’ve read that they can be rather stiff  - again I can’t comment from experience on that but didn’t want to find out and have to “upgrade” again. My 2014 had fox 2.0 coil overs set at 2” and this feels very similar in terms of a nice stable smooth ride. Doesn’t dip on turns and absorbs crappy roads and the occasional off road I do. I am also running 5100’s in the rear without blocks or any lift back there. Feels firmer but not jarring if that makes sense.

They feel very safe and have yet to slip. But they’re brand new, I’m not supercharged, and I’m not 16 years old trying to impress a cheerleader.

Had my SCS wheels removed today from my tire guy he had the new Falken wildpeaks R/T trails on the show room floor. The tread and sidewall look great on them.

If you were asking me my Grapplers were 10 ply 285’s and ran 45 lbs all around. I like how they road and handled at that pressure.

Tire shop wanted to put 35psi. Told him that was to low. LT 285/70R18. 127/124Q. 10 P.R. Sidewall says 80 psi. I'm figuring 44psi. Just curious what everyone else was running. My tundra is 2018 sr5 crewmax.
