Had an “incident” with a trailer and needed a new bumper. Found this rear bumper by Nilight for $350. I have a ‘10 rock warrior. I know it’s a cheap option but seemed like it would work for my needs. Removed the old, beat on the new to get it lined up and got it installed. Wasn’t terrible but now the tailgate hits the bumper. Customer service from Nilight was a joke and they offered me a $25 item as compensation.
Anybody run into this or have ideas on fixing? There is only one way this goes on so it has to be right. I added the foams strips for now but they won’t last on there long. Help!

Can you loosen the bumper bolts and adjust it? Thought the rear had some play with where it can be bolted up.

I was thinking something along these lines too. Maybe a couple washers to shim out the top mounting point? Effectively angling top plate of bumper down a few degrees?

Is there any possibility this "incident" with the trailer bent anything where bumper attaches?

No, I was backing up an unfamiliar trailer into a tight spot, Jack knifed by about an inch and just put a crease in it.

the bumper came with L brackets that mount to factory holes. I couldn’t even put washers on that or else the holes didn’t line up for the other mounting points.
