Planning for new tires soon. I have a few in mind... I would appreciate your inputs.
Im on 6112s at about 1.75" and stock height rear. Wheels are Methods with 0 offset- currently running 295/70/17 Mickey Thompson ATZs (33.2 x 12). The revs/mile are important to me and are 626revs/mile for current tires. The Mickeys are great but they do not make that size anymore... The new Mickey Baja Boss AT's are 33.7 x 12.1 and 614 revs/mile; will impact shift points (gear hunting) and potentially make me not smoke the Ford , Chevy, or GMC on he road;)>

    Here is what Im considering:

    Mickey T Baja Boss 295/70/17
    BFG T/A KO2 295/70/17 (33.3 x 11.8 624 revs/mile)
Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/70/17 (same s above)
Toyo R/T Open Country 295/70/17 (same as above)

No issues with cutting but I don't plan to regear.

    Other size is 305/70/17 (34's x 12'ish)

    Toyo ATIII
    Nitto RG
    Toyo R/t

I live in San Diego but roll to OR like to be ready for rain and snow.

    Thank you

Why not tall and skinny 255/85/17 Cooper ST MAXX? Similar rev/mile as you're after...love em on my 4runner, tho, it's much smaller than a tundra...great tires and a great rubber compound for mud and snow...

I had the Toyo R/T on my truck and they were great if you drive on pavement all day. Completely worthless in 4x4. I switched to Faulken Wikdpeak AT3 and completely changed the performance in 4x4. The girlfriend has the ridge grapplers on her 4Runner off road pro and I’m very impressed so far. They seem to wear pretty even, drive great, and they are beast off road. Happy shopping my friend.

Toyota RT are heavy turds...all looks and slim rewards...I have great friends who went with them as the AT3s were outta stock at the time...they should've waited as they complain a lot about them...I also have heard nothing but good things on the Falken Wildpeaks...another great one are the Yokohama Geolander series...

I just went with Maxxis Razors. To early to pass judgement but they look good, will see how the hold up.

Thanks. Great info! I like at least a 12" tire so that nixes the pizza cutters; sounds like I will steer away from the Toyo R/Ts as well. So it looks like BFGs for me. Out of stock here but I will wait. Cheers and have a good one.
