Hey guys,

New guy here, just wanted to say hi and start searching the threads to learn about my new to me Tundra.

Long time Toyota guy, I bought my first 96 4Runner in 03, then a 98 Tacoma in 07 that Toyota bought back which I turned around and bought an 04 4Runner v8 in 08. Last long termer was an 09 Tacoma I bought in ‘15 and I had till last year when I bought my first new vehicle, a ‘22 4Runner TRD OR. As much as I love that one once in a while a person needs a truck for truck things, I luckily found a great deal on an ‘08 Crewmax that was clean and a great price and jumped all over it. Decent km’s for the year and nice to have a big v8 around again. I still have the 4Runner and will split my km’s between the two now, probably more on the Tundra and keep them off the new one.

Couple things I need to figure out on the Tundra is the previous owner had a remote start installed that doesn’t work anymore, I’m hoping to figure that out cheap and easy. And he installed an aftermarket double din Pioneer deck that’s a bit dated now with no CarPlay so I’m on the hunt for a new one. Likely a Kenwood with wireless CarPlay, just hoping connections for the camera and JBL are easy and compatible.

Anyways, short story long saying hi to everyone and hoping to learn more about my new ride.

what up everyone, I am new here. counting the days till my tundra limited trd shows up. build date started today. WooHoo live in SLC, so hoping for xmas or 1st week of jan if im lucky. use to own a 69 fj40, 3 on the tree, but sold to pay for a move from ga to utah long time ago, also owned 4runner 2002 tundra but have never had a new vehicle. every used vehicle i have purchased and has turned into lots of repairs, recently my used dodge ram with about 200k died so im taking the plunge for a new tundra. adding forged leitner rack with single and dbl pod and Ikamper 3.0, 4 person for the price of a 2 person , plus some other extras.
