New to the forum, just purchased a 2013 Toyota Tundra Limited Crew Max 4x4 w/81k miles. No photo yet as I am fixing some front suspension and body damage. I have wanted one for awhile and excited to get it fixed and on the road. Just a few questions as I get started,
    1. We pull a camper and a boat during the summer. Boat will be no problem. Camper is 6600 lb mid size camper that we pull probably 6-7 times per year. I am hoping that my Tundra will do the trick. I noticed on the window sticker that it shows to have the HD towing package that includes integrated pre-wired for brake controller. Am I going to need to add air bags to the rear suspension, or should I be good with my weight distribution hitch? What will I need to buy to complete the trailer brake function. Considering the window sticker states pre-wired, I assume I will have to buy something to get it set up.
    2. I am undecided around installing leveling kit. My Tundra is equipped with the factory 20in rims and tires. I was considering possibly just a 1.5 to 2 inch in the front and a 1 inch in the back. I am wanting to try and maintain the factory quality ride and not looking to make a bunch of suspension alterations or spend a ton of money. Any good kits and what size tires should I consider if I install the leveling kit? I don't mind if it sits slightly higher in the rear as I don't want the front end up in the air when I am pulling my boat. Also wondering what tire size would be recommended if I so the lift / leveling kit?
    3. Should I get an OBD2 diog module? What is recommended ?
Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to being part of the forum. !!!

    1. You should be fine with a WDH. If you personally find it not to your desire after, look into the Road Active Suspension.

    2. Don't if you plan to pull trailers. The ass will squat and people will heckle you. I am of the opinion that factory rake should be kept.

    3. Not really needed but good to have around. Any simple OBD reader should suffice.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering if the lift / leveling kit would cause problems with towing

Doesn't cause problems. Just looks bad in my opinion. Leveled, the truck will pull just fine.

I also forgot, Welcome! Baseline maintenance items first before anything else and you will have a solid truck. Whatever you decide to do with it!
