Navy OIF Vet. Been wanting a Tundra for years. Just bought my first: White 2013 Regular Cab, Long Bed Tundra Grade; 4L V6. It's basic, but it's in fantastic shape (one-owner; great CarFax/AutoCheck records) and I don't plan on towing. It's going to be my daily drive to work in addition to basic truck duties (hauling mulch/helping friends move/etc.).

The only downfall is that V6. That motor isn't strong enough for Tundras and Toyota should have never made that an option.

    Welcome from Illinois
I have been to Mount Airy NC while on the blue ridge parkway, it was a rain day and we wanted to do something inside for the day, we found the Andy Griffith museum, it was an interesting place being his home town

Had no idea Tundras came with a V6. Learn something new every day.

    Welcome!

It was a rare option from 2010-2013. I had one for about a year. Very underpowered for the Tundra.

First of all, thanks for the welcome. I've driven around the mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway so far. The cruise never gained or lost so much as 1 mph. Admittedly, this was with an empty bed. But it drives and accelerates great. I have no complaints. As I mentioned in my introduction, I do not plan on towing any trailers/campers/boats, etc., and most of the hauling will be around town. It's definitely not the 5.7L V8 common in most 2nd-generation Tundras, but for my entry into the Tundra world, I'm happy. I'll continue to save my money and go all-out on my next Tundra purchase.

It's all good if you like it. The 4.6 V8 actually has better fuel economy than the V6 due to a different speed transmission . I have had the 4.6 as well.

I'm already learning a lot on this site; I didn't even consider that a V8 would get better mileage. In my "truck search" I didn't run across a 4.6 V8 (or none showed up in my search parameters).
