    Hello All,

Thanks for having me in your community. I have been lurking since the purchase of my first Tundra in April. This is also my first truck. I kinda fell backwards into the Tundra after my 2010 Highlander started to have some issues after being in the body shop. I have enjoyed reading through all of the posts in the past few months and look forward to many years with my new truck.

The first mod that I am looking to do is a Tonnueau Cover. I was basically between the Undercover Armor Flex, Diamondback HD and recently the RetraxPro XR. I have been researching these three for the past few months and have entered into the analysis paralysis stage. The two main factors for me are security and as waterproof as possible.

A little background on me, I am not super handy so I was going to have a professional install but that isn't an option on the Diamondback. That, and the dismantling of the cover if I need the full bed are the only drawbacks for me on the Diamondback. I was also looking at the Undercover ArmorFlex. The drawbacks I see with that one are the blocking of the digital rear camera when the bed is in full use, some issues with water and freezing in winter, and losing use of the tie down system. I have recently started looking at the RetraxPro HR and I like the idea of being able to add the rack system. My only concern with the Retrax is losing that 12-14 inches in the short bed.

If anybody has any experience or advice on these three options I would greatly appreciate it. Other than that I look forward to being a part of the community and enjoying my truck for years to come!

    Welcome!
I would go with the undercover. I have the retrax cover on my 11’ and it’s very nice, but it is a big bummer to lose a foot of the already short bed. I have heard great things about the backflip MX4 folding cover. If I had to do it again that is what I would purchase.
