I just picked up a 14 Crew max and I’ve been scouring the inter webs and mainly this site and I don’t want to beat a dead horse but..... it’s got the clunks in the front end and I know I’m not hearing the ABS. I shimmed the stock skid plate cuz it was rubbing on the front diff mounts, I want to say it’s got a 3 or 4” lift not exactly sure but it does have aftermarket upper control arms not sure on which ones but there not stock. It clunks when you put a load on it when it rolls forward against the brakes and when you reverse against the brakes. To me it sounds like slip in the control arms but they are tight not sure what the torque specs are but I’ve read on here about the dreaded clunk but I haven’t seen a cure yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Haven’t had the trans fluid checked yet, everything that has a zerk has had grease put to it. As far as the rear leafs I’m not sure it had the lift on it when I bought it. The popping noise I can feel it through the floor board and in the steering wheel it only does it from a stop forwards or reverse no noise when you hit bumps while driving

Lol yep but I’ve wrenched on Toyota’s for years I’m just trying to figure out where it’s coming from. If I can narrow that down I could most likely fix it

So I’m stumped I don’t really want to take it back to the dealer just to have them say go pound sand I’m half tempted to cancel the extended warranty I got with the truck it’s a 5yr 60k miles on top of what’s on it warranty with a 200$ deductible it cost me 3100$ I’m just not sure what to do guys? I could take it to a 4wd shop and have them try and fix it on my dime???

Congrats on the nice looking truck! Can you get a refund on the extended warranty? That seems like a high price not to mention a $200 deductible...ouch.
