Hi just picked up my brand new truck on Monday after doing the "normal" progression from Tacoma to bigger truck because of kids etc. and after checking my tire pressure yesterday I noticed that the driver side frame is black, shiny and new (as it should be) and the passenger side is dull, flat grey and rough looking. Almost like the factory ran out of paint on that side. Now my question is what do I do with it? What is Toyota going to do? Brand spanking new truck should be perfect right? Has anyone ever had issues like that before? Wouldn't worry about it if it was just cosmetic but I just went through the whole Tacoma frame PIA. The coating on the frames is bad as it is but this is even less than that. You can see the difference at the Hitch Bracket where is matches the frame on the driver side but not on the passenger side. Suggestions?

Welcome from NC! Very odd issue. Keep us informed what the dealer does to remediate your situation.

    Welcome from NY.
That is strange, I would bring it back and show the dealership.

That side probably sat in the sun for a bit.. the frame paint loses its gloss fast in the sun
