New Tundra and Cougar Travel Trailer in Minnesota

    Hi folks,
    This is my first post. I’m a new owner of a 2019 5.7L Tundra Double Cab. This truck is everything I hoped it would be and much more. I finally know now what all the fuss is about ... this thing is a pure joy to drive and a head-turner to boot. So, in the last week, I sold my house and bought my new home on wheels - a 26’ Keystone Cougar travel trailer which I will pick up from the dealer next week. I’ll be traveling the country for the next year or so. Not sure what I’m more excited about ... the truck or the trailer. That brings me to my first question. The trailer is 8’ wide and am wondering what, if anything, I’ll need to do about side towing mirrors on the truck? Any suggestions are welcome. Will post another photo of the complete rig next week.

    Welcome from Ohio. I just biught a 22 foor travel trailer 2 weeks ago. A backup/anytime camera is an amazing addition. I put my screen above my rear view mirror... It does a good job of simulating my rear view mirror. My travel trailer came prewired so all I had to do is install the camera in the preinstalled mount and I was all set. The camera even has a microphone in it so you can hear what/who is behind you.

    0A8A3F25-B18A-4CE4-A002-75CE2BD66A10.jpg Yes u are going to need tow mirrors . I have these with the blind spot monitoring and really like them so far. I pull a 25 foot sunset trail and also recommend air bags to eliminate the Toyota squat. Just my opinion congratulations.

    The backup camera is a great idea also may pick one up myself

    Thanks for the warm welcome! Will be looking into the TPMS tire monitoring system and for sure the back-up camera. I ordered a set of black Sumo Springs for the rear end. Will go with cheap mirror extensions for the trip home from the dealer on Saturday until I can pick a decent set of tow mirrors. The link to Roman’s site was very helpful. I was wondering why every time I went on Amazon it told me the “part did not fit my Tundra!”
