Brand new truck, and this morning was the 2nd time my radio just shut completely down, but came right back on. This morning tho, it was like I had shut the key off and the radio rebooted. Has this happened to anyone? Is there a fix? Or just call my dealer?

I dunno. Both times were while I was driving down the road. Not pressing anything on the wheel. I don't recall it saying anything about an update either.

I have this same exact problem on my 2017 Tundra. I have the Platinum Edition with the JBL system that comes along with it. I've noticed that if I'm using bluetooth to play music, and I either get a call, or make a call, the radio reboots itself. Like you mentioned, it comes right back up, but it's very annoying. I have a service appointment scheduled for tomorrow. I'm hoping that I can recreate the problem and the dealer doesn't give me the run around.

There is no fix for stupid.

Exactly what the OEM radio is... get used to it or replace it. I would recommend the later. You are not alone.

Mine does it. It will just freeze up and I have to hold down the volume button so that it resets. There is a thread around here where you can download the update yourself on a website and just plug it into the USB port.

There is a fix... Mine was doing exact same stuff especially when phone was hooked up via Bluetooth. I took it too the dealer and they updated the software and I haven't had a problem since.

Well, yesterday I found that post/thread about updating with the file downloaded from the web, using the URL that 15whtrd mentioned. The file downloaded ok and all to my USB drive, but when I went to use the file to update the software in my truck, it didn't show there was an update.

I just came back from the dealer and they ran the software update on my truck. The version I am on now is: 01019E

Hopefully this does the trick, but I would take your truck to the dealer if it's under warranty. What will it hurt to have them look at it?
