Just thought I'd share a little story from today:

While I was waiting in line to buy coffee this morning a guy was coming down the hill in his brand new Ram 1500 (still had the dealer ad plate and a temp permit—was a leftover 2018, not the new one). I'm not sure what the heck he was doing, but I guess he failed to see the curve and slammed the front right bumper/fender into a cement barrier. He backed it out of the barrier and pulled into a parking lot to inspect the results of his (lack of) driving skills. His wife was yelling something at him and he was obviously pretty upset. Who knows, maybe the brakes failed, but my guess is he was distracted messing with the infotainment center or something.

Nobody was hurt so I was allowed to laugh. I saw the damage and that would be a tough way to start ownership of a new truck!

Saw a simliar thing happen with a guy in a Corvette years ago. Jumped a curb and hit a heavy duty median sign pole which splintered the entire front fiberglass front end. Guy got out (unhurt) and shut the door calmly and started walking down the street like nothing happened.

    man that sucks.

now he's gonna have a painted front end and just about the time the paint cures he'll have rusted out rear wheel wells to deal with.
