New to tundras got a noise

I have a 2010 with 195k miles it’s the 5.7 flex fuel. It has a knock in the very front of the drivers side head that doesn’t start till after the vehicle has warmed up enough for the thermostat to open and only knocks for approximately one minute then stops and doesn’t return. When it is knocking it comes and goes and seems to happen when something is cycling. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any loose stickers somewhere in the engine? I had a loose serial # sticker by the fan that made a similar noise.

Know this is old wondering if it’s a common thing I have a 2010 122,000 miles cold start hear a tick front counts like timing chains coming from cam sensor area but as it

 

That is the infamous timing chain tensioner. Very annoying but from what I understand it has not caused a failure.

My 2015 did it and I was planning on fixing it. When my 2021 does it, I will be fixing it as well.

I want timing belts back. They did not have these problems

 

Kinda assumed timing chains for has a similar issue/know for causing failure I tried uploading video

 

I wonder if the OP is still around. 4 posts in 5 years? I doubt it.

 

This has been a common them in my life buying used vehicles and jumping on 10 year old forums to gather or obtain lost or dying knowledge. It brings great excitement when someone reply’s.
