    Hi everyone!
Looking to possibly buy my first Toyota this year. Looking at Tundra's mostly. I'm a little leary of buying the new gen Tundras but haven't completely ruled it out.
One question I have is would it be better to buy an older 2WD version or newer (22 or newer) 4WD? I live in Arkansas, don't get a ton of snow here but 4WD is nice to have when you need it but not convinced it's a must in this part of the country.
    Thoughts?

    Welcome.

I like older ones. I think they are better trucks. Mine is a 2004, 237000 miles and still driven daily. You probably want one a little newer though. Lol

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I don't use my 4x4 very often, but I am glad I have it every single time. Better to have it and not need it. . . You'll get the price difference back in resale, and it will be more marketable when you do want to sell.

There is nothing wrong with older 4x4 toyotas. I have an 01 4runner at 356K with original 4x4 never opened up and all works including the locker. Just regular use and new fluids once in a while does the longevity trick. Luck deciding.
