I am coming over here from tacomaworld.com after having a 2019 Tacoma TRDOR DC for the last 5 years. Last Friday I picked up a new to me 2024 Tundra Platinum TRDOR without the optional 3" lift. I had a 4+ hour drive home to get acquainted with it, and so far I am in love. It is everything I hoped it would be. Unfortunately I had copious weekend commitments so I have not had the chance to play around with all the buttons and switches. I joined this forum a few weeks ago in anticipation of this purchase and have enjoyed reading forum posts. I look forward to hopefully being able to contribute in the near future.

I have finally had some time to play around with all of this truck's buttons and "hidden" features! I immediately subscribed to Carista and turned off all the annoying to me chimes/buzzes/alarms screaming/fake engine sound being pumped it. I will admit I am disappointed with an annoying soft whistle/high pitch wind noise coming from the driver's door. I noticed it on my 200+ mile drive home from picking it up and was hoping it was just how I had my mirrors positioned or something; it is not. I tried everything I could think to do yesterday and I can't get rid of it. I am sure I will learn to live with it, but now I am hyper focused on it for sure. I am also surprised that the factory JBL system sucks as badly as it does. Maybe I am just not finding the proper adjustments for it (the only one I have found is on my display under settings and gives the option of treble, mids, bass, and to center the speakers fade. I know there is a JBL amp under my driver's seat, but i can't tell that it is doing much. I didn't crawl under there to see if I could find adjustments on the amp like a normal amp because it started to rain again.....my non -JBL Tacoma speakers were much better than I am finding in the Tundra. I hope I am just missing a setting somewhere, but truth be told, I will probably end up scrapping the JBL and build my own down the line.
Anyone have recommendations as to how to best keep the leather on the door cards and dash protected? I am going to head over to the detailing thread after posting here, but I thought I's throw out my question encase someone here knows of the best products to use on it. I usually use Carpro Perl on my interiors, but am unsure how to treat the extra leather in this truck! I appreciate any input! Last concern - I feel like my oil pressure???? gauge is lower than I feel good about. It only registers about 2 bars (about 1/4 way on the bar gauge). Is this typical? I have tried to spot this gauge on YouTube videos that I have watched, and it seems like mine is registering close to what I am peeping in Tundra videos, but it still has me questioning. Caveat - I have not even cracked the Encyclopedia Britannica sized manuals in the glove compartment yet! My ADHD much prefers scouring YouTube and forums. Again, thanks for all of your help! I appreciate you!
