Hey guys - been researching the forum for a while, first time poster. After months and months I finally got myself a new to me 2016 Tundra Platinum. I have a few questions - hoping you guys can help.

Truck came with a retractable tonneau cover. My old truck (15 GMC Denali) had a Retrax - so I am familiar with these. However, on my Retrax there was a lock - on my Tundra, in the same spot and looks like the same size - it is just a cover (pictured). It looks molded into it - like I would need to cut it out to insert a lock. Right now I just have zip ties otherwise the tonneau rolls up just driving down the road. Does anyone know if I can just buy a Retrax brand lock and make it work on this one? I see zero markings or name on the tonneau itself so I am not sure what brand it is.

Secondly - drivers side Fog light wiring is cut - almost after the pigtail. This clip is super hard to get off - the other side I got off easily to change the bulb and am familiar with these clips - this drivers side one won't budge. Assuming - perhaps previous owner broke the wires?

What's best replacement? Does anyone have a link for a new pigtail with wires - then solder them to original wires??

Also - I am missing the plastic inner liner on both sides that cover the back side of the fog lights themselves. Think there are 2 10mm bolts on the bottom and some clips to hold these in place - any source for these or any used ones out there?

Thanks for the help - I appreciate it!

A few... Definitely more than 2
There are a couple different brands that do the rolling covers but I am not familiar enough to say for sure that you have a Retrax, BUT, it certainly looks like one. From your picture it seems like you can undo the bolt from the underside that you have the zip ties on, and the plastic plug looks like it will pop out the top without cutting. Then, I don't see why it would not be as simple as dropping in a new lock but I don't have that cover so I can't confirm in any way.

Not sure how the fog lights would have broke but I would just try repair them personally. It takes quite a bit of digging to find replacement electrical connectors but it can be done and we have a couple experts on this forum that I can tag in if you want to try it that way.

Fender liner pieces sounds like you are talking about THIS one... not sure there is a good source of used other than junkyards. Some people do pull them off but they are generally thrown away shortly after. You could ask here (https://www.tundras.com/threads/pay-it-forward-free-goodies.4727/) to see if anyone has some laying around.

Thanks to both of you for your time and information - I really appreciate it!

Mater - do you happen to know what AWG of wire the 2 fog light wires are? I would need some extra wire to make room to connect these. Thanks!

They’re pretty small if I remember. Traveling so won’t be near my truck for a while.

those corsa technic seals run small so I’d get the bigger size. It’ll seal just fine. If the seals are too small then the wire will expand the seal and make it a PITA to shove into the connector. At least that’s been my experience

I think I have those panels for behind the fogs. I can check and you can have them for free. I also think I have the OEM fog harnesses with more wire if you want them as well.
