Had something happen yesterday for the first time and have never seen where anyone else here has had this happen. I was behind one car stopped at a red light. Light turns green, I take off pretty slow and it started rolling fine but about halfway through first gear, it just died. I say halfway through, it hadn't shifted to 2nd yet. Was probably rolling less than 10 mph when it died. I stayed in the throttle, didn't lift, didn't press farther. It took maybe 2-3 seconds for the throttle to pick back up, but even then, it didn't jump all in at once. Just slowly started back until it seems it just matched where my foot was. Seems similar to @Eurodriver issue he had but like I said, only for a few seconds. Tempted to call the dealer but I'm assuming without an engine light, there will be no codes. Luckily I wasn't pulled out in front of someone. I love this truck but shit like that is scary and toyota needs to figure this out.
