As the title states the next project is stereo and speakers for the 06 double cab. The current setup (jbl) is not up to par. Everything is blown from what i can tell. Few questions for the audiophiles here. Should I go coaxial or component? From what I have read so far coaxial is probably fine for me. I would like to keep everything total under 1k. Thats head unit (double din) speakers, amp (if necessary) and sound proofing materials. I dont need the best but dont want stock either. No sub. Just want good sound and no rattles. Few more things while on the subject... will most of the new units dim down when lights turn on or are you guys manually dimming them at night. Also since i have controls on steering wheel will i lose that function? I dont use it often but thats mainly cause i listen to headphones cause stereo sucks. I plan on bypassing the factory amp or will by a small one if everyone deems it necessary. I figured the new head unit would have enough power but not sure. I appreciate any feedback or help you men can give me. Thanks in advance. Cheers
