NEW SCS Ray10s Issue

Had my Ray 10s mounted yesterday and to no ones surprise they look awesome BUT........ My rear passenger tire sticks out noticeable more then the rest. Actually both on the passenger side stick out further than the driver side. Is that normal? Are the wheels themselves not exactly the same? Or is this just similar to the Tundra lean I hear/read about? TIA.

I remember reading before, one of the rear wheels on the tundra usually sticks out a touch further than the others.

 

The offset should be printed on the inside of the rim and also on each box when it was delivered

 

All boxes say 18x9

 

Maybe it’s just my eye. How would I go about telling other then looks?

if you swap the wheels to the other side, where does it stick out more ?

 

Not sure I don’t have the means to do that right now. I’m getting the oil changed and tires rotated soon so we will see

 

My wheels are not exactly centered. I have noticed that one side is recessed a little more than the other - I was measuring to see where they would sit if I add 1.25" spacers and for some reason thought to measure on both sides, otherwise I would not have noticed. The difference is relatively small though - I don't remember the exact measurement, but it was less than 1/4".

 

not seeing much difference on the picture. is it very noticeable ?

 

did you have just your tires mounted? or any other work done?

Rear passenger tire does stick out a bit more. Not much but noticeable.

 

My SCS SR8's have the same offset I believe and my 4 are even or at least not noticeable to me!

 

I notice it pretty easy, 1/4-1/2” I would say. I pointed it out to the guys at the tire shop and they saw it too. They said not a whole lot they can do about it. I contacted SCS and they said that’s normal for our trucks. I will just ignore it!

Nothing in the back other then the rear sway bar.

 

I've read that the bed is sometimes off and some folks go to a lot of trouble to recenter the bed.

The whole rear axle is offset from what i read, i have same wheels and passenger rear hangs out further.

 

Same here but not a problem.
Same wheels but my new tires nitto RG I can see the rear passenger more out, take to the shop to check but everything ok. Only when the truck park When you drive on road everything look ok.

 

What lift you have

 

Nothing wrong with the wheels I’m sure. I bet it’s your axles. Most trucks aren’t even left to right. Like everyone says swap your wheels from side to side. Best way to troubleshoot.

 

Exactly what I am seeing. What offset do you have? I only have a leveling kit.
