Here's my new truck... previous '82 pickup, '85 4runner, 95 Tacoma, and '96 4runner owner, but have been driving larger trucks and a few Suburbans the last 10 years or so...

have been thinking about getting a Tundra for years after hearing nothing but good things about the 4.7L and finally found a very good deal I think on my 06.

It's a double cab 4x4 with 208K for $4850. No rust (rare for a MI truck), frame is very decent and the owner said his friend was the original owner and took it to the dealership for everything. Didn't have service records, but I was able to log onto the Toyota.com site and find all the dealer records for service from day one to mile 185K. Oil changes, trans flushes, frame rust treatment, airbag recall, 5K services, 10K services, etc. Odd thing is that there's not mention of timing belt, but you'd think up to 185K the dealership would've recommended it... might call the dealership to see if a record didn't get uploaded as a possibility?

Either way, I'll pull back the cover to inspect and go from there.

Truck came with SR5 package, roof DVD system, SS nerf bars (removed them) and a trifold soft tonneau (handy for winter, might tool box it out come spring.

There are plastic plugs along the bottom of the rockers - must mean it was rust proofed early in life? The only trace of rust is along the inside bottom edge of the drivers door under the rubber seal, but it's not visible on the outside edge.

Doing some detailing now and got some spidertrax 1.25" spacers coming for a slightly better look with the stock 17's and I'll get it titled registered and insured this week.

Around my area of Metro Detroit, even the 00, 02's, 04's are still selling for between $4k and $7k - I think I got a pretty swinging deal.
