For the last 15 years I've wanted a project car and didn't have the funds/courage to buy one. I finally saved up enough $ to get myself one and I bought a White 2012 Tundra Platinum. I road tripped with my pops for 8 hours round trip last Thursday 5/1/25 to buy this beauty. The truck is 2WD with 145k miles and all the major + regular maintenance up to date. It also has a decent exterior and great interior and zero rust. I plan on using this new baby as a fun, family, and home project vehicle:

Today I decided to install a new head unit and came to this surprise. I nearly threw up when I saw it... I think I came across my first big challenge with my project car. I will try to restore this disgusting mess to oem connectors so I can use the JBL sound system with a decent head unit. I guess the previous owner was nice enough to leave me the old connectors? Wish me luck :itllbuffout:

Welcome here! Nice rig! What a gross wiring mess. Looks like someone wanted to hard wire speakers and bypass the jbl amp themselves

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Just recently, someone posted audio system wiring diagrams, I believe for all models. Try searching for it.
