Everyone complains about their mpg but I have to say I'm doing OK. On a two hour trip yesterday on a secondary highway at around 60mph (95kph) I achieved 20mpg over the whole trip. The truck is stock but running 265/70R18 tires.

New limited (non-hybrid), stock with zero upgrades. In the city I'm getting 17 mpg. Milking it to see the best I can get and using Eco Mode. I had a few family members drive the truck and they were enjoying the turbo in Sport Mode. I might be a hair more w/o the test drives.

24 Limited 4x4 and have never seen better than 16.8 mpg. Running 93 octane and babying it since purchase in Oct. Mostly around town and highway to work. Haven't taken any long journeys yet.

Check your tire pressures. Went from 12.5 to 15.1 just by increasing pressure from 35psi to 40 psi. This weekend I took a road trip out to utah. I noticed after a recent dealer service my mpg went from averaging around 14 to 12.5. I have an icon stage 7 lift and 295/65 r20 toyo open country ats on stock trd wheels on my 23 crewmax limited trd offroad hybrid. I averaged around 12.4mpg's on the way there, its about a 365 mile trip over hilly terrain. My normal average speed on the freeway is around 75 to 80mph. I'm usually not trying to get the best mpg rating when I drive, most of the time I keep it in normal mode. On the way back I decided to play around with my tire pressure, I noticed the dealer set it to the oem 35psi (which would probably be perfect for the stock tires.) Im running E rated toyo open country AT's with a max psi rating of 80. I bumped the pressure up to 40psi all the way around and mpg on my trip meter averaged 15.1 on my way home. Numbers aren't adjusted for bigger tires but the difference in mpg was pretty significant. Other info, I have around 8200 miles, I had a payload of around 1000lbs with gear passengers and one border collie, and I run 87 octane.

Absolutely achievable with prudent driving and a stock truck setup. I get 18.5-19 much of the time and that includes hill driving and gravel roads. With flat terrain, I'd average close to 20.

That's right in line with what I see. The best I've seen for a tankful was just a shade over 20. That was a full tank used ONLY for back roads and commuting to work. I set the cruise on 57 mph (GPS says this is actually 55 mph) and control my starts and stops.

Yep, controlled stops and starts. The fact is nobody, well, 95% of drivers, refuse to do that. Couple that with even slightly modified tire size and lift angle and they are the one's getting 12-15mpg.

You have to factor in IQ. I forget the exact formula but anything 70 and below will greatly affect numbers.
