Yesterday afternoon, we had an unexpected hail storm that passed through the area. My property was peddled with golf ball size hail. My truck was parked in the driveway and took a beating. The weather has turned my truck into a connect the dots board.

Apparently, many vehicles took a beating and all of the major insurance companies are setting up catastrophe teams to dealing with the damage.

Only 4k miles and 5 months into this ownership.

I definitely feel for you. I've had my truck parked a few blocks away under my bro-in-laws carport because of fear of hail. Anytime there's a storm coming, I haul ass down there and park it. Fortunately for us, all the hail was north of here.

I was in a video meeting when it showed up. Before I could get outside it became too dangerous. I was bit more worried about my house windows before I realized....MY TRUCK!

    Appreciate it.

We have this house from the late 1800's and it has a metal roof - the first hail I've experienced down here was two years ago and I can't believe we didn't lose a window. I didn't have time or a place to move the 4runner but the house and trees seemed to block most of the hail. It got a little dinged up. But yeah, I remember that feeling.

I was in Leander when it came through. It was painful to watch not being able to do anything. I got quoted 4,400 to have my truck repaired. Insurance is covering it though

I had the same thing happen to my 2000 Tundra SR5 4 x 4. Truck was all dinged up. Hood, cab and driver’s side. Broke my heart. My insurance company said the damage came to $900 and my deductible was $1000. That Flo, she’s not only goofy. She’s also a cruel and heartless bitch. I ended up trading the truck and switching insurance companies.

We got a good hail storm last year when I still had my '15 Tundra, sounded like a bunch of fools with hammers on the roof of the house. The hood of the truck made it through without any pock marks but the roof had several but during the heat of the summer about 95% of them straightened out, couldn't even tell they were there. Now with a sunroof on my '20...

Wow! I have my appointment tomorrow. I found more damage....my windshield, and my MX4 cover took a beating. I took a look at the roof and it took the worst beating after all.

The roofers are going to be swarming. Call Kidd Roofing and ask for Mundo - he's the most honest and coolest dude I may have ever met. Kidd Roofing has an amazing reputation too.

Lol I think he was referring to the roof of his truck. Not house.

Well. 2.5k quote. Now to find a repair center without waiting 30 days plus. I've got a couple calls out and waiting for an appointment call. Interesting, my neighbor down the street had a brand new nightshade Taco and his truck looks like swiss cheese. I guess I should feel lucky.

If you are still looking for a shop, avoid GP1 collision in round rock. I just picked up my truck. It was not a good experience. A lot of last minute scrambling to fix things missing and buffing overspray I found.

I hit a deer with progressive. The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. Took 4 months to get my truck back, multiple calls to HQ,and they tripled my rates a week after it hit the body shop.

I would have gotten multiple quotes if possible,no way I’d trust Flo

Ended up calling the state insurance commission office which lit a fire under them and fixed things in a weeks time

I had to call the state to get a dealer to do something that he was supposed to. I think half of my frustration that turned into anger was that they forced me to take that kind of action and wasted my time. I hate it when someone has to call use the state to get them to do their freakin job.
