New MGM!

    Not a new member, but a new truck!

    I was at my dealership a couple of weeks ago having some service work done on my 2016 Tundra. A few days later they called me and said “we want your trade!” I wasn’t in the market but thought if I could upgrade without spending money then it might make sense. I didn’t really have time to spend the day up there haggling so I asked to do as much as possible over the phone. They said they don’t work that way. They even said they were willing to let me walk away. I was shocked but, there’s more than one dealer in San Antonio.

    So, I started shopping online. And a couple of dealers responded. I basically did the entire deal over phone, text and email. Worked on it for a couple of weeks hacking away at their offer and finally walked away with a 2019 MGM CrewMax 4x4. It’s the TSS off-road with the blackout package and Duratracs. No money down and my note only went up $5/mo.. basically just extended my term and at 0%.

    I haggled the price of my new 2019 via text/ email as well. I used the truecar app to find the truck that I wanted and then used the true car app price to get the dealership to beat it, plus the dealership had a better interest rate. It was the easiest/least stressful vehicle purchase so far!

    Much better. I didn't go 12.5 because where I get mine off-road out west, it's wide enough as it is. And I don't get off-road here in Louisiana. Bigger is stucker when there is no bottom.
