was surfing for info and found this website. was a Toyota sales rep for 20 years after spending 30+years in different manufacturing disciplines. drank the koolaid and was hooked on Toyota. still own my first new Toyota...2004 Sienna LE awd. drove a 2013 Prius Plug in for 10 years and traded it for my 2020 Tundra which I purchased used July 2023. My kids all have Toyotas and my current wife has a 2014 Venza. during my training at the beginning of this century, it was put forth that a normally aspirated engine would be preferable to a "blown" engine which generated more compression as well as heat and wear and tear, so I was surprised when Toyota took the 3.5l V6 and turbo charged it for the Lexus LS, which began having problems. Was even more surprised when the new Tundra came out with the same powerplant. I rented one for a week in Montana and admit it does get better fuel economy but what would a re-mapped 10 speed automatic transmission do for the 5.7 v8? Doubt we'll ever know but at 70mph in my Tundra I can get 20 mpg......only problem is I can't drive 70 when travelling! LOL!
