    Long time lurker.

Starting a micro farm, 2 kids age 6 weeks and 4 years, wife and dog. Enjoy hunting, fishing, chainsaws, guns and other middle age white guy stuff. Just sold a 2011 Acura MDX with 150k that I adored but couldn't afford to feed anymore so it had to go live with a richer farmer. We have a 2016 pilot that the 100k service was just done one (my subtle way of saying timing belts and preventative maintenance are a religion around here. I think we should slide into a tundra nicely.)

I've been reading carcomplaints til my eyes bleed and have convinced myself I only want a 2013 lol.

Anyone got a crystal ball? "Will I have an airpump failure I can't afford to fix?"

Nothing could be worse than the lifted F250 7.3 I had for a year.....I doubled my investment in that truck and got back what I initially paid. Lost my ass. Trans, driveshaft, up and downpipes, PCM, etc.

My brother has a unicorn of a body/frame replaced crewmax taco with 6 speed. He's SELLING that to buy Dad's regeared F150, bc Dad just got a 2018 SR5 . And he (baby bro) is the all japanese all the time guy! Age does funny things to men, I'm telling you....

Test drove this and was very impressed despite the age and "little" engine. Sure ain't a dog, but I can imagine the 5.7 and am drooling. Stay tuned.....

    Welcome! Also from Michigan (49423)

I think you’ll love the Tundra (I’ve had three! ‘01, ‘06, ‘16) I’d say take a good look at the frame and anything else that could be rusty.

With kids/need for backseat and desire for longevity... I’d take a look at a 1st Gen double cab or 2G crewmax from a non rust state. Or, check out the one I’ve got for sale: https://www.tundras.com/threads/2006-tundra-double-cab-4x4-back-up-for-sale.83341/

Either way, Tundra is a great call.
