    Howdy y'all from Texas. I'm looking to get a Tundra and based on used prices I'm really leaning towards new.

    I'm looking at a SR5 Crewmax 4x4, with SR5 upgrade and TRD off road.

    A couple questions:

    1) most dealers are offering 6% off MSRP before any rebates. Is this pretty typical? Invoice is what, about 7.5%?

    2) a couple dealers have the trim Nd packages I want but then added a bunch of Toyota accessories. I'm okay with stuff like the spray bed liner and nerf bars since I'd do that anyways, but I'm not paying $180 for a connectivity kit or $350 for paint protection. Have y'all been able to get those removed?

    Tell them what you want and what you will pay for.

    Most will over charge you for the bullshit they want to sell.
    Tell them to take it off and you will buy it.

    Remember, you can go to other places to buy one and they need to be reminded from time to time they are not the only dealer in the world.

    It took me three hours of sitting there telling them I am prepared to buy but I am also prepared to walk.

    Dont fall for the bullshit (These are hard to get, we only get one in, these go quick, you will want the crap we put on it because it protects it)

    Stand up a couple times and get ready to walk, go to other dealers.

    Thanks. Yes, there are multiple dealers within 20 miles of each other and if I open up to 80 miles I have...a lot of options.

    Welcome! I actually could get a better deal purchasing new rather than used. I was able to get about 8% off MSRP and then had the dealer add all of the extras I wanted such as spray in bed liner, hard tri fold tonneau cover, bed extender and various other things.

    Exactly what was posted before by @Gotyour6 . Be willing to walk away and put your foot down on stuff you dont want. Also research parts they added, as they charge more than if you bought a completely stock truck and added them yourself sometimes. Plus it wont be on the loan either paying interest on extras.
