    Hi, All ---

Retired aerospace composites mfg. and QA engineer. Love the southern Utah & adjacent canyon country desert areas, hence the moniker "DsrtRat". Have a 2005 Tundra double-cab, 4.7 V8, pretty much bone stock except for minor lift in front, air bags (to help support a pop-up camper) in back, and 285/70R17 tires on American Racing wheels. Currently working thru brake issues, am replacing booster / master / "third chamber" assembly with new. May have some questions about bleeding the ABS module, but remains to be seen. Lots of years experience with mechanical stuff, including FAA license as A&P aircraft mech. Look forward to the wealth of info and experience on the Tundra forums.

    Cheers to all ---
DsrtRat (or you can call me Mac).

    Gents,

Many thanks for the welcoming posts! I'll get some pics added to my profile ASAP. A lot of what I do when camping in the desert or the mountains is photography, mostly of the landscape and scenery. I've got THOUSANDS of images, and will fish out a few within the next few days and get them up.

GoSolo --- that's BRUTAL --- "hiring you was like losing 3 good men"! That really hurts right to the bone. I once had a boss who liked to say, "if this job was easy we would have hired someone besides you!"

RoadTrip Jim - yep, I can recommend retirement after being there for going on 4 years now. Doesn't pay too well, but it sure is nice sleeping late most days, and not being able to remember what day of the week it is, and not even caring that I can't!

    Mac

    Folks,

Thanks so much for all the welcoming posts - lotsa fun! I've been participating quite a bit in one of the First-Gen Tundra forums, dealing with various issues related to master cylinders for the 2004 - 2006 trucks. I've learned some valuable stuff, met some nice people, and had a good time.

Here is a pic of my truck, being used for the purpose that I bought it for in the first place. Nothing fancy, but it serves my needs well.
