new member intro - '06 AC SR5 V8 2WD from CA

Hello! New member here from CA.

We have a 2006 Access Cab V8 2WD that my father purchased new. It's been a 3rd (or 4th) vehicle so it mostly sat on the driveway and only has 97k miles on it. The majority of those miles are highway but recently I've been taking it lightly offroad to get to a shooting range. It doesn't have a locking diff or LSD so I have been using momentum and planning my routes carefully.

I'm planning on doing some upgrades and refreshing, mainly installing a leveling kit and new shocks (looking at OME 2884 and Bilstein 5100 combo from 1stgenoffroad.com).

I joined here to get some advice and some ideas on what we can do with the truck.

It's actually getting repainted right now lol. those years of sitting on the driveway did not do the clearcoat well.

The timing belt and water pump were replaced earlier this year.
